I was thrilled and honoured to be part of South Cambs District Council celebration of the paralympic torch coming to Milton. I was really excited to carry the lanten across the lake and to be part of something very special. It was a great day and one I will remember for a very long time.
Big thanks to South Cambs for giving me the chance to do this.
Good luck to all the athletes taking part in London 2012 Paralympics you are so lucky.

After I ran the British 10K I said never again, I am a sprinter and I know my place. I had a great time training for the event and looking back I am glad I did it but at the time it was very hard. I shall keep focussing on my sprints and every time I feel my coach Bryn is pushing me I will remember the 10K.
Today Dad and I are running the British 10K to raise funds for the Special Olympics.
This will be the furthest distance I have ever run. Wish me luck and hope dad can keep up, his furthest race was the Toft Village Jubilee fun run which was 1.5km.

Dad and I ran the event in 1hour 20mins for a sprinter I was very pleased with this, we were really pleased that Mum, Will, Harriet and Connor came to cheer us on. Mum was very jealous when I told her I got to meet Ray Wilkins earlier in the day.
After this event it is back into sprint training for the Europeon Championships in Russia in September.

I was invited by Special Olympics to do a promotion for them which is the London 10K, the orgainsers of the British 10K are making Special Olympics one of there charities and Special Olympics are hoping to get 2012 runners to take part in the event.
At the promotion I met Special Olympic ambassadors Heather Small, Anna Hemmings, Darren Campbell, Chris Kamara and Katherine Merry. Our photograph appeared in OK magazine (issue no 822)
My little sister Harriet came along to the shoot with me and treated me to lunch afterwards!
I have always been very lucky to have such great support from my village and tonight the social club gave me party, Carol did some Greek food which was really good, Richard and Martin showed a video of what I had been doing, it included my 200m race and showed my village just how loud Mum and Dad can be at races!!
Big thank you for everybody from C&C who came especially my coaches Bryn and James who see enough of me at the best of times.
From all the Cox’s a big thank you to everybody who came and especially the club for putting this on for me. I will do my best in 2012 at the world games in The Azores.

I would like to say a big thank you to South Cambridgeshire District Council for the award they made to me under their Elite Athlete Scheme.
This will be such a big help to me and I would like to say a very big thank you, I will make sure this is spent wisely and I will do my very best this year for Cambridgeshire.
The Elite Athlete award is available to many athletes if you would like to know more about this please see SCDC web site:

To celebrate my success in IAADS World Games in Mexico the village held a party in the village hall to congratualte me. We all had a wonderful time. Mike and Jan and the village musicians played a mix of Mexican and folk music. Carol made a wonderful chilli for everyone to enjoy.
Georgina from the University of Cambridge presented me with a cheque to help me get to Athens in 2011. The money was raised by a team participating in the London to Cambridge Cycle Ride in which Harriet, Will and Connor took part.
I hope everyone had as good a time as I did.
On Saturday 10 April the Toft Social Club hosted an aution of promises to raise funds to send Charlotte to Mexico.
The event had a Mexican theme with music provided Toft Sessions (Mexican Division) and a wonderful meal of chilli provided by Senorita Carol.
The proceedings were overseen by two hilariously funny hombres, Senors Richardo and Martino and the auction raised a staggering £2,700.
David, Sonia and Charlotte would like to say “muchas gracias” to our friends and neighbours for giving Charlotte’s fund such a tremendous boost. We are overwhelmed and humbled by the generous support you have shown.
Thank You.
