I was very lucky to attend the Special Olympics Summer Games – In Sheffield.

I competed in the 100m, 200m 4 x 100m relay and Longjump. Good competition but rained all week. Had a great 4 x 100m relay, and we won Gold.

Well today was very interesting, Mum lost her way to Eton, so we arrived just as the starter set off the 200m!

I did the 100m and my time was 15.4, met up with Hettie again who had a really good race.

As we had time on our hands did some Longjump training, and got some really good tuition from Ian Nolan (Peterborough Special Olympics) – thank you Ian.

Lots of practice now for the Trisomy Games in Florence in two weeks time.

I will do my best for you!

I competed for Cambridge and Coleridge at the Southern Women League.

Lovely day out with the group I train with Its the start of the season so I was pleased with my:

100m at 15.9 and 200m at 34.4

I competed for the Eastern region at the National Indoor Championships at Lee Valley, I competed in two events:

60m sprints – winning the “A” stream in a time of 9.54

200m Sprint – I came 4th in the “A” stream in a time of 33, which was quite abit of my PB but I did my best, and on the day the other three girls were faster than me, my friend and training partner from Athens Vicki came second.

Good competition and enjoyed meeting up with lots of old friends.

Went to the D.S.E Regional championships at Chelmsford

It was really good to catch up with old friends from my Junior National days, I had a really good competition and very pleased with my performance

Silver in the 100m & 200m
Gold in the longjump

Even the rain drenching me in the 100m could not dampen my happiness.

My focus is now on Portugal and the IAADS European Championships in a couple of weeks which I am looking forward to

Wish me luck and keep everything crossed I will do my best!

Times were not great but as Mum says its a marker to build on for the rest of the season.

I did the 100m, 200m and Longjump

Getting ready for the summer games, I will be doing two events, the 100m and 200m.

I was very lucky to be asked to do some promotion work for the games, and around Cambridge in lots of bus shelters and billboards is this picture of me!.
